@unregalito that might be true but we should promote positive reenforcement no matter what alterior motives they might have

@unregalito does it matter? they're raising self esteem in the progress? ever heard of glass half full ?

A powerful and meaningful campaign. Who cares if it sells soap?? The next generation desperately needs this message.

@unregalito Geez!! You complain when because companies demoralize women by telling them they are not beautiful, and you turn around and complain when a company decides to break the trend of destruction and build up women instead of tearing them down. And of course the common factor is economics. DUH!! The whole point of ads is to sell a product. Our economy would grind to halt without companies promoting their products. I am happy that Dove is building up self esteem instead of tearing it down.

k the program wasnt a huge commercial. Throughout the workshop we talked about self esteme and how the media changes real people. It was an amazing program. You can chirp all you want about how fake this was, but i was there, believe me this wasnt a commercialized program

@stupidbluerain stfu fucking hippies.
Using self-esteem to sell a product is lousy!!
One company makes you believe you are not beautiful enough, so you have to buy their products.
The other company makes you believe you are absolutely beautiful enough as you are to buy their products.
What's the common factor? Economics!
Do you think they care about your self-esteem? Dove is owned by a multinational called Unilever and it is definitely not run by Buddhist Monks...
