I just want to say thank you so much for the video - we had a printer in our public IT room that kept getting jams that we couldn't fix and this gave me the confidence to take it apart and show it who's boss!

What are the indications that you need a new fuser?

One tip, before screw those screws back, find the start of the tab by gently turning the screw anticlockwise until you feel it fall in the tab, then crew them clockwise. In this case you will not damage the tap in the plastic housing.

Thank you, this was very helpful. Last time I did this, I basically took the entire printer apart and then struggled to put it back together.

Doing this tomorrow ...THANK YOU!!!!!

Helped out huge. Thanks
You may get paper jams in the fuser, ghosted or repeating images. You can call us with any questions you may have. 1-800-570-4533.

Thank you for this it's a great referecne, one question my 2420 is showing signs of ghosting about 75mm apart. it's not the toner I have changed it 4 times and still have a problem, I'm sure it's the fuser but I see fuser film sleeves also. Could I fix this with fuser film sleeves or would I need a entire fuser?

My advice is to get the whole fuser.
