  • Spectacular Motorcar! Exquisite musical score! .........but what's with the Walmart shopping Center parking lot . I din't gitzit?

  • @327caprice its not at a walmart, im not sure what store, but not a walmart

  • Great shots of a spectacular car. Just for the record, this car is called an Imperial, and it is not a Chrysler. Imperial was a brand of its own in this era.

  • @nashtwin8 thanks, changed it

  • I'd like to know the fancy name Chrysler gave that particular shade of green.

  • @auaiao9 i found the color name and its called Aztec Turquoise

  • Someone told me that this car was the widest ever American production line car! Is that true? It certainly looks like a giant !!!

  • A Nice looking Imperial you have here. I have some classic Imperials listed on my channel as well if you care to check them out just enter Imperial in my channel search.

  • Pound per pound, dollar for dollar, the finest mass produced car made in the world at that time. It had it all, excellent handling, fantastic ride (quieter than a Rolls-Royce), comfortable and roomy interior and the kick-ass of the 392 Hemi. Hands down, it was ten if not a hundred times the better car than the mush boxes that GM and Ford were producing.

  • this song makes me sad

  • Chryslers were so mysterious! My parents say that as kids they so wanted Imperials. But in our set, one was not allowed to drive a Chrysler, because they looked "Dorky and Catholic", or a Cadillac, because then people would know we were Jewish. So, it was either an antisemitic Lincoln, an Olds 98 ('The WASP Cadillac'), or a proper English Rolls Royce (this was before the extermination of the German People through immigration had been finalized, and so Mercedes was still Verboten).

  • @bentleyspotter Cool! That car is nearly as old as me. Sometimes I feel a little green, too.

  • '58: last year of the superior Hemi engine . . in Imperials.

  • @nashtwin8 Absolutely correct. It is Imperial not Chrysler, just like it's Cadillac not a Buick! I think unfortunately, since Chrysler was never able to get people to call it by it's own "brand name" as opposed to invoking the corporate name with it, people list them as Chrysler Imperial, to make it easier to find? Even on e-bay, it is listed as a selection of Chrysler, where as Cadillac and Lincoln, are listed independently of their stable mates.
