In this second segment focused on immigration and the African American perspective the panelists discuss the complexity of being of African descent in America and how they each identify themselves—African American, Black, African; their perspectives may surprise you. After listening to the discussion share your thoughts. How do you define your culture?

Americanization is another big issue the panel tackles. Sharing family culture with children may help the children find purpose and direction in life; however, many immigrant families are finding it challenging to do so. Is this gap in the parent/child relationship so different from any other American family? Add your thoughts after listening to what the panel has to say.
