If you take a thousand-page book and fill it with vague and contradictory prophecies (especially if you prophecy wars and disasters!) and wait a couple of thousand years, you'll find lots of world events that can be fitted into the prophecies. Modern life and world events also match up with the Lord of the Rings, the Celestine Prophecy, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, L. Ron Hubbard, and Nostradamus. All it requires is faith...

While Daniel does prophesy about future events and nations, some which have not yet come to pass, this particular prophecy was about Daniel's short-term future and the downfall of Media-Persia/pinnacle of Greek power. There has been lots of Bible prophecy that has already been fulfilled along with this one, such as the falling of different kingdoms and cities in Ezekiel, and the coming of the Messiah, which was realized in Jesus Christ.

@Imaginefree69 Of course, prophecy with symbols which are consistent across the entire word of the lord and has specifically named leaders out of history and has given gotten all of it's specific time prophecies right using the prophetic time which is specifically stated as 1 day = 1 year and is not questionable is vague. Really, I guess my dictionary is wrong than, I thought the word vague meant generic.

@FaithFirst99 The prophecy in Daniel is so accurate and non-vague as imaginefree69 put it, that some non-bible believing people have actually tried denying that Daniel was written before Alexander the Great.

I remember when i was little and i was learning about the future empires that were foretold in the book of Daniel.. man it was amazing to learn about this as a little kid..this prophecy of Alexander is what really got me in to learning about his military genius...the way Jehovah god used this metaphor to describe the rise and downfall of the Greece empire under Alexander was just to amazing.. just speechless

I still want to know why tyre is still inhabited and why there has never been a 40 year period when egypt was uninhabitable. Sorry guys but even the new religions that pop up these days and thrive simply give credit to the gullibility of people in general, especially in time of no education,literacy and the need to unite en mass for protection and safety. While I believe in spirituality I dont believe any one "theory" to be the only and or most accurate!

What is so vague about saying that there will be a Greek empire?. . .seems quite unambiguous. .and what is vague about saying this empire would be shared by four powers? . .you just cant take the fact that the book of Daniel predicted Alexander the Great around 250 years before Alexander was an egg-cell. . .you've em. .gone into a state of reality denial. .come off the hashish or whatever it is your taking. .

Excellent video my friend. Nothing better than God's word. It's amazing that when skeptics analyze this prophecy, it is so accurate that they are forces to conclude it was written later than it actually was! Amazing. Keep doing God's work brother.
