Good job! That's a really good drop curve. Most people's drop curves end up going in the dirt and being a ball because batter aren't tempted to swing at them, but yours is a strike which makes it even better! And the change up is a nice touch!

You should not just go out and try to replicate someone from a video, not without direct input. you will end up hurting your daughter.

It's more or less a change up but let's be honest here, that's not 20 mph slower...nice pitch however

It is a change up. That's why it's called a drop-curve CHANGE. It is consistently 20 mph or more slower.

Right...a change...is usually 8-10 mph slower than a fastball...any slower than than and the arm action probably slows down and the batter can guess the pith...I think 20 was an arbitrary number that you picked without thinking...

The number came from a Juggs radar gun. A backhand change like this one is supposed to be at least 25% slower. In this case it is 33 %. Nothing arbitrary about it. A backhand or flip change takes considerably more speed off than most other types of change ups. Most people don't throw the backhand because it is the most difficult to master.
