Rare video from a beautiful lady who should have been a superstar. I've added some minor effects changes to the start to compensate for a video glitch.

  • Back then she was hot all over. Nowadays she's Hot In Cleveland.

  • @chuckcollins Nice research! Didn't know about that connection. Thanks.

  • Why do I love this song so much??!

  • @Mommy2JMS It's a sultry groove, she's gorgeous with that beautiful long hair (reminds me of my ex-wife), has a wonderfully girly-siren voice, but for me it's the finger-guns at 1:46. Devastating!

  • Wow...she's gorgeous in this video...thanks for posting.

  • @happydragon5077 My pleasure. No, really. My pleasure! ;-)

I have the second volume of the soundrack to "Valley Girl." That's how I found this song. I love it. It conjures so many images. I listened to it on a loop once while on painkillers for some ailment I can't remember and read "Less Than Zero." Good times.

  • This song is very hard to get. On her greatest hits we get 20 songs but this isn't one of them.

  • I remember watching this video on MTV and loving it. It's my favorite track of hers. It deserved to be a hit. I don't think Rachel's limited success was due to lack of exploiting her charms; I think nost of it was her choice of material: retro tracks like "And Then He Kissed Me" and "Everlasting Love". She, like others from her generation at that time (like myself), were listening to and loving girl group records. Not the most commercial choices.

  • @pianoman74 LOL!!!

  • I always thought Rachel Sweet was a sexy singer myself back in 1982, but I guess too many people, including journalists, just labeled Rachel a total Stevie Nicks copycat, which can really yield the wrong impression. And this song was the pinnacle of her fame, unless you count "Shadows of the Night" which topped the charts under Pat Benetar's voice.

  • @AvastAhoy Finger Guns! :D Awesome! I used to lip-sync in front of the mirror to this song when I was in junior high. I still love it and I hate that it's not on iTunes.

  • @marksmith46 I think it was on the Terminator soundtrack. I can't remember the exact scene it was in, but I think it was at the beginning when she's at home with her roomie.

  • This is a killer dance tune for a big club sound system... song kicks ass especially the end. Bought the vinyl for this song and it blows away any CD version. : )

Didn't even know there was a video, many thanks for posting!!
