For anyone not aware, this is a MOCK. :-(

Indeed, there was no non-classical music in use with C4 trade in 1989. The music with ETP1 is "Sleepy Dust" from the BBC Ceefax tape, Scouting About.

It's interesting how up until the late 80s a lot of TV channels spent a lot of time broadcasting these "follows shortly" segments. A completely different pace of life to today.

Tthe technical detail of your dubbing, down to the music style is convincing.

The track which was actually used with the Sesame Street caption at the time was a great little number - no idea what what it was called, though. Also, the holding slide for this early morning Sesame Street broadcast featured a host of characters from the show, including a Cookie Monster with animated eyes.

I actually agree with you in that I also like dthis particular tune which accompanied it and this was also played on all the other channels at teh time: BBC1 used it for technical breakdowns; BBC2 used it as a link track in between trade test tapes on CEEFAX and Tyne Tees once used it when there was a technical breakdown during one edition of Crosswits. If anyone has it, please feel free to download it here on YouTube, I for one shall very much be interested to hear it.

@ETP1 I have finally managed to unearth this long-running mystery - the actual title of that particular number is called Coming Of Age which is a Bruton Library CD track which I shall upload shortly.
