The whole place have lots of blood... I wonder why they need too much of it. Probably they killed thousand to get this blood. Then Alex will fight some Order Soldiers and save Elle from Curtis. He got Circular Saw that can kill Alex with one strike but he couldn't do it. He gets owned instead lol.

@darktaint777 I think though it's that Alex just doesn't know anything of the real incident yet until the last part (keep watching kiddies!) that's why there was no guilt in there so Pyramid Head didn't sense any guilt to kill him.
