"ortofony " - EDGE IS A THIEF, been saying it for years..... go listen to a song called "CHANGE IN MOOD" by the Aussie band 'KIDS IN THE KITCHEN' from 1983 (it's on youtube) - the riff is virtually identical to most of the stuff from Joshua Tree, 4 years later!!

This song dedicated to native chiefs reminds me of the song " listening Wind " by Talking Heads.
In Canada there was a native chief named Big Bear who was Cree. When the railway came through in Manitoba the white men in power took over the land of his people and fenced and titled the land. Big Bear tried to resist and was tried for treason back in the 1800's.He died three years later. Once a proud people were now forced to live on reserves.
Big Bear, I have not forgotton you.
