Yes, IN THEORY free market policies would reduce poverty, but what about in practice? Countries that have strong welfare states have the lowest poverty rates in the world. Countries that don't have welfare states are the poorest in the world. Oh but let's just ignore evidence and put all of our faith in theory.

@MiHiVidz Then prepare to watch this nation fall ever further, prepare that our currency is conti being inflated to the point the people of the world will devalue our currency its already happening (Hint we are only rich because everyone else values our currency so much), watch as crime and strife and violence increases. See your jobs and property get harder and harder to gain. I've seen it through out history my friend, this time isn't any different, Look at Rome, Argentina, Germany.

@KurzLuppii Okay, I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not just some troll, but I guess you really are. Either that, or you have your head jammed so far up your libertarian butt that you cannot be reasoned with by doses of Reality.
Don't expect me to dignify your stupid self with any more replies (though I am certain you'll reply anyway, because you love to argue). Just watch Obama get re-elected, and your precious Nazi messiah Ron Paul rot in obscurity.

@MiHiVidz Poor houses still exist, orphanages still exist... instead you have people who make it their lively hood off of state funded to perpetuate the poor. Though you keep bringing in emotional arguments without Facts or history in it makes your argument weak.
Though ask yourself this... Social Security was brought about during the great depression. How does this solution make sense during the great economic times of other years? You are all about the right tool for the job right?

@sozfan1 Going around the world seeking vengeance will make everyone blind (Gandhi said that). Instead fix the system that allows this to happen.
-
@KurzLuppii You mean the times of poor houses and orphanages? Yeah, you would want those abominations to return don't you?
-
@KurzLuppii so let the crooks go, police wall street less and hope for a better result. that's your idea of justice. u madd?

@MiHiVidz agree. many people have lost jobs due to the "free trade" agreements that Ross Perot warned us about--most of the good manufacturing jobs have left the country. the fact that she's perfectly content with so many in society trapped in Dickensonian holes is precisely what makes her cold and heartless.

@MiHiVidz Why don't you look back in history and see the time before Social Security...
This girl is well-intentioned, but I think I'm going to stick to watching videos that feature Milton Friedman. Milton Friedman was one of the greatest economist of the 20th and 21st century (he's now passed on). He explains economics plain and simply and also has debated political idealists with socialist view points. Put simply, Friedman let's the facts and research speak for itself.
Search for Milton Friedman on YouTube if you really want to learn about liberitarian views.

@TokenLibertarianGirl Thank you so much for posting these videos, they've educated me a ton and I've gone from being totally apathetic about politics to becoming a vehement Ron Paul supporter, and have been convincing my friends to do the same! What you're doing is great and I just hope you keep it up.
