  • The line at 1:53 is particularly touching :) A gentle pretty song all the same and well recorded too.

  • @CurtisMateer

Thanks, man. "a gentle pretty song" - that's nice. Reflects my character so well - "gentle and pretty" :-) ha!

  • It's great to wake up to a fine song from the other side of the globe. Well done Mr. Jenkins.

  • @dannyknapp

Mr Jenkins? Does that mean you respect me now? Even after our dirty one night stand?

  • Looks like your on a roll man, this is lyrical beauty at it's finest. I agree with Johnny about the imagery but played it a second time with my eyes closed and liked that imagery even more. This song is 1000% better without a video. I suggest posting it again with just a black screen or something. The mind needs to be set free to really see these lyrics. This would have been my wedding song. It will be if I ever get my time machine.

  • @derekeverett

Thanks Derek. Did you see the name of the lady who drew the old man picture - check the link.

By the way, I'm in the process of redoing that other song with extra spandex.

  • @anonplace Obviously I can't wait for that! I missed her name the first time sorry about that. I usually check for lyrics but other than that I don't often read the details. Bad habit I guess. It's funny too.. Genevieve was the name of one of the first songs I ever wrote.

  • @anonplace well sure, I respect you Jock. But honestly, after a night of drinking, when I wake up the next morning. I feel kind of... I dunno, British I guess, so I try to talk like that. Is it British to call people Mr. --- ? just trying to be proper I guess

  • Great imagery
