Star Trek TOS Remastered is a re-release of The Original Series currently airing in syndication. I am posting the opening credits to give you a sample of the improved quality of the transfer and the new special effects.

Trekkie that I am, I must admit that TOS Enterprise looks like a toy compared to the '09 movie Enterprise. The new ship had soooooo much personality.

@Humbertusmarius I think they were going for a cgi retro look. They wanted the graphics clean, but to still look a bit like models. Hence the lower greade 3D package.

What a beautiful ship the original ENTERPRISE was: a clean, logical, uncluttered design. Just watching it sail past that planet with lights flashing gives me goose flesh. It's a shame they ruined it in later years by adding all sorts of unnecessary crap!

I bought the whole set! I LOVE THE REMASTERED VERSION!!! It adds more spice to its already known awesomeness.
