Our $ was used by for a take-over of the auto industry, bailouts of the banks & will be used for a government takeover of the health insurance industry. Now Obama shut down 33% of U.S. oil refineries. As the unemployment rate soars into double digits the same people who have caused it are in favor of increasing corporate taxes, allowing the Bush Tax Cuts to expire, & implementing a Value Added Tax. Rather than arguing over checks, why don't we actually create a positive business environment?

@godawefulll Thanks Godaweful, I think they are trying to pass laws on this. But, still, all the temp jobs now interview/drug screen & full background. Even if it's a 3 day job. Now I have to explain why Bank of idiots put my mortgage as late. When I had a signed agreement with them. There's no proof that credit has any bearing on one's ability to do a fine job. It's getting harder and harder to be a job searcher.
Best to you and all the deserving Ameican's that need help right now.

@Farmhouse168 I agree, its a roadblock to me. how CAN unemployed people have GOOD credit. Employers need to be more human...Best of luck to you and yours:)

Olympia Snowe has come across party lines, and said she'll vote YES for the bill. She's a hero as far as I'm concerned, because she's going against the pressure of her peers.

@realdeal0083 People will have to steal to put food on the table and the crime rate will go up if they don't pass the unemployment benefits extension soon.

@godawefulll -I have been hanging on by threads and temp jobs, and was doing ok until I took a forbearance on my home mtg. from BOA. They violated thier own contract and reported me for late payments that they set up. There are laws that are being pushed to not use credit checks to hire applicants. There's no correlation between credit and ability to job performance. It's been proven. There's too much of this over scrutinization out there. It's hard enough out there.IT needs to change!

@Farmhouse168 I agree, how can we have good credit when unemployed for over 6 months hahaha Dumb government;p I'm thinking Robin Hood tactics to survive...Look out rich people!!!!

Unfortunately no. One thing you can count is is that you will not be alone in the struggle.
You said it! I have been on over 50 interviews, hundreds thousands of resumes. Fighting with the bank, finding ways to get money for bills food. I had a few temp jobs, but that's it. There's too many candidates, too many restrictions on job searchers, good credit, a degree requirement to answer a darn phone, you name it. Employer's are taking advantage of the current economy. Please help us survive! We need help now and until this gets better if neccessary. Does anyone hear us?
