My 68 Camaro SS/RS clone project is slowly getting underway. Still dont' have the budget but i'm tired of looking at it just sitting in the yard untouched. Although i'm going to be replacing alot of the sheetmetal I still sanded a few spots and covered them with some paint to help slow the rusting process. This is the first time the car has moved in over a year. I replaced a few parts and did some tweaking here and there and with two shots of starter fluid it fired right up. I Idled it up a touch just to keep it from stalling. The tires were so rotted that pieces were falling off the sidewalls when I put air in them. Still cant' believe they held air long enough to ease down the road. Transmission and engine ran fine, no grinding in the rear gears either so looks like i'm off to a good start.... a good sloooooow start. IF you know anyone who wants to donate some money let me know haha

  • this so reminds me of my car! which would technically be the sister/cousin to yours. i'm in a similar boat as i don't have too much money to work with, but don't give up!

  • Flowmasters?

  • sounds bad carb adjustment timing adjustment it'll run fine

  • cool

  • Would you consider selling the car?

  • at least the window went down smooth ...lol

  • Nice project!! I rebuilt a '69 Firebird over 4 years on military salary and it's a pretty nice car now. I recently had it at the Autorama car show in Dallas, Texas. I have a bunch of videos here on youtube, but not really any like yours. The 350 motor that was in it when I bought it was treated so badly and the #2 piston was actually melted in half. You could see through it and see the crankshaft... Check out my Firebird when you get a chance and Good Luck with the American dream!!
