Mabel is a one year old Border Collie and this is how she is getting on with learning the walking handstand. Find out how to train your dog this on my channel!

go "like" me on facebook for training updates and advice: https://www.facebook.com/ZsianZ facebook is also the best place to ask me questions.

I own all the video and the music is:

  • Very smart! How did you get her to walk while doing a handstand? Thanks

  • @izzie128 hey, I'm so sorry for the late reply. you can see how I trained this with my handstand video (it is posted as a response to this video) and the walking I pretty much did by luring with a treat held on the floor as you can kind of see in this video. I hope that helps a little :-)

  • WOW Sian, Mabel is so clever as are you for training her so well!! I can't imagine Banjo ever doing something like that!! Much praise for your patience and dedication!! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXxx

  • you are so lovely to say that Shelley, I really appreciate what a great friend you are :-) hehe, do you think that I really should bring Mabel over to the sun so as she can tell Banjo how to handstand in woof language?! hehe! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • After all Agility dogs have to be older before they do the jumps and Heelwork to Music dogs can't do Freestyle until they're 18 months for that very reason. I'm not trying to criticise, she's a great dog and her owner obviously cares for her very much but please, just hang on a bit.

  • This looks a really neat trick and I'm sure it was taught very carefully but I'm a bit worried about how good an idea it was to teach it to so young a dog - I saw at the beginning that she is only 12 months old. Might it be worth waiting until her bones have fully developed before trying something like this?

  • Thanks

  • BRAVO :-))

  • amazing amazing amazing!

  • That is so damn clever...Meesha x

  • Wow!

This is one of my favourite dog tricks!

I've just started to teach it to my own dog Sara and so far she loves it.

All the best from Kadi and Sara!

  • Wow! Wonderful!! Very nice trick and very nice music!
