It's a good cover, but the distortion should be smoother and with less crunch.

I agree with what a lot of people are saying: the tone sounds almost exactly like Joe's record.
But there is a little too much noise. I know Joe's signature amp has a noise gate, so that may help.......

I don't like the sound, but that's secondary.
What I recommend is to ease a bit the vibrato. You tend to go too fast and too pitch. That's good for other songs but this one is quieter. Hear Albert Collun, that should give you an idea of what I'm telling you.
