Happy New Year! It's been over a month since I last went out railfanning. My camcorder isn't working properly and I would like to get a new one. For the time being, I've been coping with the glitchs in the present one.

Winter is the best time of the year for me. I love capturing trains dashing through the snow. The effect is amazing. Case in point, here is CP ES44AC 8954 leading train 115 through a rockcut and past Crow Lake Road during a snow squall. The roads were very bad for driving but it was well worth it for me.

  • Nice spot!

  • @EasternOntarioTracks - cold in winter. hot and mosquito infested in summer. :) On this day, i never should have ventured in a snow storm for this train.

  • looks great with the flying snow.

  • @tommyrail67 - :)

  • So cool! Your in my stomping grounds! I haven't been up there in a while. So there is snow there now? None in Kingston yet. I might be heading up to Tichbourne this week.

  • @Railrodder - it was white out conditions driving down HWY 7 yesterday to Sharbot Lake. I stayed to get this train and then left. I missed CP 233 that came along after 115.
