i lost 25000 souls doing this aswell. ive turned it off for now. im gonna give it another go later. i must be doing something wrong. obviously

@GetTheFunkOut46 You can use an item (Black Separation Crystal) to banish your phantoms if this happens again. If it's any consolation, losing 25k souls is nothing. Might seem like it sucks but I've lost hundreds of thousands and eventually it just rolls off your back. To put it in perspective, 25k souls is one successful co-op at that boss fight.

To Northernlion or anyone that is beginning to play Dark Souls, you can easily identify which is a real chest and which is a mimic chest buy the chain on the right side. If it is STRAIGHT, then it is a mimic chest. If it is CURLED, it is a real chest. Hope this helps.

i think how difficult this part is depends on ur play style. for me personally the gargoyles were a lot more difficult than the archers. the 2nd gargoyle took me about 8 deaths, while i got through the archers and the painting guardians both on the 1st try, without even using any estus

I remember the first time I did this part. I was using the scimitar at the time and right as it was falling, I accidentally forward R1'd and I cartwheeled off the edge... So much pain...

Just tried this part for the first time ever and YOU DONT NEED TO SHIELD to the knight!

Just make him get his sword then just GO BACK! He will try to chase and fall off! Like this so people can see and get by very easily!
