I remember when I was a kid I used to BANK on Pokemon card.. I probably made more money than most drug dealers. At the start of the pokemon hype my uncle was able to purchase BOXES of Japanese pokemon cards from Asian stores and I was able to get some from him.. I remember selling one shiny card for $250. Damn those we're good days..
