Hard to believe I did this... and nearly died in this very spot! Glad I didn't know about the crocs until now, many moons later! Oy!

I need to upload my VHS copy of my rafting here... back from 1994.
Have some amazing battles with the waves.

I did this 14 years ago, quite a few crocs on the rocks but do you really think one could catch you in a rapid?

Recent comments about shooting the crocs that made the falls prompted me to do a little preliminary research. Apparently the Nile croc lives there, and is listed as endangered. So to raft there, if they are indeed shooting Nile crocs, would make me a complete sack...so I have suspended travel plans. Perhaps companies can trap them and release further downstream...if anyone has more info that would be great. Mainly, do they only shoot injured ones, and are they endangered?

They told me "If you fall out during the rapids, watch out for the hippos and crocs!" Scariest shit ive ever done. O yeh , have fun carrying ur raft out of the canyoe when ur done. Just do the bungee jump. Much safer! :)

@Hodgeypodge its def class 5, check your facts first
the zambezi is world famous for being a commercial class 5 raft trip.
i used to be a raft guide in British Columbia too so i know this well

I tought its not allowed to make commercial raftings in class 5 rapids?

im gonna do this on saturday!!!!!!just not in africa. lol

The guides told me afterwards that most of the crocs die when falling down Vic Falls, the guides go out every day looking for and shooting those who made the fall. To prevent any big attacks. They don't tell you this before you go in...

That's a relief.....
I saw few resting in the rocks around those places they use to wait for the next boat.
