  • The American standard of living has actually been declining "progressively" since FDR.

I think the problem is not so much due to economic theory. I think it's due to corruption. We can adopt a Progressive, or Liberal, or Conservative approach to the economy. It won't make much difference unless we keep a close eye on our elected representatives and hold them accountable for their actions.

  • I think it's high time our entire society had an attitude shift in this direction! Obviously, the "free market" answers to healthcare, retirement, education and housing were not the solution!

  • I sure hope you feel the same way when you are thirty five years old with a family to raise,a mortgage, insurances, power bill, car payment, city, county and state taxes, food, clothes to buy, home maintainance, college tuition for your children, books, shall i go on.Then look at your paycheck and realize that you are paying for your heath care NOT THE GOVERNMENT. The gov has NO money,ONLY YOUR MONEY to take and give away to those in society that WILL NOT WORK ! Youth is wonderful but you will see someday!

  • We have to be more like scandinavia.... free health care, free education, more goverment services. We have to take care of our middle class

  • America needs a President like Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was a great Leader that dealt with the same issue 's as today. Recession (Depression) and War.

His "New Deal" programs gave Work and a American's a Future.

Bush is a sell out that ruined this country.

  • The US Fed has pledged 96 Trillion dollars for SS and Medicare - That equates to one million dollars from every single adult in America!

The youth of America have NO future

This year I'm obtaining a new citizenship!
