GrowFood Carolina

Your vote for the Coastal Conservation League, through the Chase Community Contest, will help us realize our big idea, GrowFood Carolina, our sustainable agriculture project that will enable farmers to sell their produce to local grocery stores, restaurants, schools and hospitals. This project will help the small-scale farmer survive, reviving our farming communities and bringing fresh local produce to convenient locations for purchase. Our big idea is to connect our communities, through the food that they eat, to the farmers who grow it. A vote for GrowFood Carolina is a vote for South Carolina farmers.
Additionally, implementing our GrowFood Carolina project successfully will create a replicable model for the entire country, where sustainable farms will provide fresh produce to grocery stores and schools across the nation. We have the potential to lead the country in moving away from an anonymous industrial model of agriculture to a sustainable model, where family farms have the potential to survive and reap the benefits of local dollars spent.
