  • These guns are in beautiful condition. I wonder where they get them?

  • When I talked to the german soldier he said that he bought the rifle for 120 dollars on the internet

  • $120 for the Gewehr 88? That's a nice deal.

  • It's not a Gewehr 88 It's a german ww1 rifle I think it's a Mauser

  • Yes it is a German WWI rifle and it's called the Gewehr 88. It was also made by the German Arms Commission and not by Mauser despite incoporating the Mauser bolt design. Type in Gewehr 88 in Google Images and take a look for yourself.

  • ow yeah sorry I was thinking about the gewehr 43

  • i had a mauser 88. it was one hell of a sturdy rifle.

  • I didn't even think it was possible to reenact WWI, after all, no farmer wants to have his land dredged up to make trenches for a reenactment that only lasts 3 days at most.

  • @jasser222 If it's the one at 1:23 it's not a Mauser. I have one and it looks nothing like that.

  • @bf1918 Actually, I think that was either the Steyr Mannlicher K85 rifle or carbine.

  • @PolishWingedHussar10 true true, i own a 1917 mauser model 1891 chambered in the 7.65x53 argentine mausers are defiently lighter than lee enfields thats for darn sure

  • @taco1030 The Gewehr 1888 was immediate response to French Lebel 1886, it was used in first world war I until 1915, then it was taken to second line troops and all front line troops were equiped with gewehr 98 its succesor

  • i wish they had ww1 reenacting in oregon USA

  • @iTzMeThoDz well arent Mosin-Nagant avaliable? :/

  • @bf1918 actully wat the rifle the germans used in ww1 was the gewehr 1898 not the gewehr 1888, now the turks used the gewehr 1888 in ww1 and also ww2

  • World War II made more victims than the first wold war, but the first world war was a way more terrible than the second .Have you ever heard of Toxic Gases, or amputations ?
