The Army has many traditions and troops from the Second Infantry Division take pride in honoring them. Soldiers in Area I are gearing up for a foot march to commemorate a century old tradition that helped shape the history and reputation of the 9th Infantry Regiment.
I did a few of them Ft Ord 1992 C 1/9 and Ft Lewis 1993 and 1994 B 1/9. I seem to remember doing this in full combat load with a large rucksack, weapons, about 50-70 pounds depending on your job. We had a time limit as well. I guess things have changed.

Ahhhh .... I remember the coin and the buckle given to me when I was there at camp Geaves. Wish I can get another to replace the two losted cause my evil x wife have thrown it out before I move out of the house after our divorce. THAT UNFAITHFUL BITCH !!! Fucked around when I was in Salvador gave me two baster sons, them boys I love as my own. And they was noted to be Manchu babies. Unfortunately they joined the Marines.
