@Suburbannite no man, if he left to Lakers, at THAT TIME, he wouldn't have won his third straight championship. He is not thinking of staying with Lakers till 2000 until they win, how will he know that? He said he's too old for that & he is right. Veteran NBA players will only get a yearly contract not a few years, so does the owners of NBA clubs, they're not going to let him stayed till 2000. Furthermore, Lakers was crap then until Phil jackson went there after Bulls.
