The Smith & Wesson Model 625 JM is a stainless steel revolver chambered in .45 ACP. This caliber has been in use in semi-automatic pistols for nearly 100 years (since the introduction of the Browning 1911). Though semi-auto pistols are incredibly popular, the revolver remains an extremely reliable sidearm for home defense, competition, law enforcement, and recreational target shooting. The 625 JM epitomizes the reliability, accuracy, and durability for which revolvers are known. Prior to 1911, .45 caliber revolvers were used extensively, most notably in the American Southwest. The 625 JM bears the initials of Jerry Miculek, an extremely talented and accomplished competitive shooter. Take a look at his videos on youtube, and you'll immediately be impressed.

  • what price is it new? and for concealed carry, it cant be that bad, i mean why is the compact version MORE expensive? one more question; what are the requirements that must be met to have a carry license? (in NC if u know)

  • This thing is BIG, so I wouldn't recommend it for concealed carry unless you were wearing a heavy coat. It should sell for around $800. The compact version is more expensive because it has Tritium night sights and a special matte finish. It's also a Smith & Wesson custom gun, so the trigger has been smoothed out and the cylinder holes are likely chamfered for easier loading. Licensing can vary from town to town, so you should call your local PD.

  • nice to see revolvers these days in more common pistol cartridges instead of just magnums

  • Agreed. I'm not a fan of the .357 magnum. But it is fun to shoot.

  • Steve Jobs made this firearm. iGun.

  • It's definitely as cool as an iPhone.
