Oh, Spike, how the mighty have fallen...

I'm back after a lengthy absence with a look at this latest installment in the ever-expanding Dragon Ball game franchise.

As I said way back when I reviewed Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, there's only so many times I can play these games before they start getting dull. What's new this time around?

Stay tuned to find out, and feel free to comment.

  • @suerves Toriyama was much less involved with GT than most think, as it was by and large Toei's creation. All Toriyama did was contribute designs, with little control over the story. Theres also word that - if I recall correctly - he had a major hand in the development of Dragonball Online, the game responsible for outright retconning GT out of the Dragonball canon.

  • @DBZAOTA482 I respectfully disagree. The Tenkaichi series as a whole is reasonably simple, but at least the majority of the series gave you full control over your character and a decent moveset that extended beyond just the Special and Ultimate attacks. Sure, it may not have started that way but it got there. In my eyes, Ultimate Tenkaichi is indeed shallow in comparison, to the point where the game basically plays itself.

  • What Song Is That In The Intro?

  • I agree that the voice actor changes are ridiculous but stephanie nadolny does a better angry and cocky gohan, while colleen does a great happy and naive gohan. linda young and chris ayres, i dont really notice any differences, although in the rb2 r4eview the "linda makes frieza sound like a grandma" comment was funny

  • @DBZAOTA482 I know that a view voice acters change i love eveyone's but zorbon,s new shitty voice acter.

  • @Xxandrew01 DBKai is the same show, only shorter.

  • @DBZAOTA482 If thats what you perfer but most fans who watched the animes and played the first DBZ game like me hates the shit DBZ is about fighting not strategic shit its dragon ball DRAGON BALL man i hate series i loved as a kid and make make these changes think they make it better and it ends up being shitty man i loved DBZ when i was 5 im 14 and now im sick of it im gona be watching kai tho thats a good show.

  • Kick ass ending soundtrack

  • I wouldn't really call it half-assed by any stretch, but instead rushed.

I mean, you have to admit that a good bit of work was put into this, between the boss fights, the cutscenes, and all of that. I'm just pretty sure that it had a deadline to be completed which unfortunately cut them off a bit too early to add more characters/customization to it. I'm kinda waiting for a UT2 that has the same style, but more content.

  • @ImpulseKid86 I like tenkaichi better because it has more freedom and lets you try different combinations for example if you knock someone to the ground you can quickly hit them and they cant counter unlike this game where they could just get up from it.

  • i now what u mean about the animation if they reanimated it dbz series with the cut clips on this game i would probably pass out

  • hey ik86 isn't dbzut going to having DLC if so can you tell me
