@koreanbowboytds You're absolutely right, you have to have the chromophore and the laser working together, either one alone will not do it. All I meant was that the original theory of pdt claimed this was accomplished by creation of a "singlet oxygen" at the cell level. In reality it is not oxygen but HEAT that kills the cancer cells in pdt, the photoenhancer if properly delivered only absorbs into the cancerous tissue, not the surrounding healthy tissue, and the heat is focused there.

@aliendogbrain How does the excited photosensitizer create heat to kill the cancer cell? The heat probably would have to come from the light, and just about every study has shown that PDT with the photosensitizer with light is more effective than just light, or just the photosensitizer

@StopCarpenter This is NOT Lase Med's video.

@aliendogbrain This treatment does not work...the HEAT does not kill the cancer cells...I should know...she treated me for one year...lieing to me the cancer was died...it wasn't...I seeked a Cancer Center and they saved my life.

Because my skin was so sensitive, the application of the PDT cream was very painful, I'm not going to lie. And my skin was red for three days, many areas of my face were blistered for 4-5 days, and my face was very dry. But after that when the swollen skin went down, the dryness went away, and the redness went away. WOW, totally f***ing worth it. Sorry for swearing, but this was the best decision for my skin I have ever made in my entire life. $450 is an easy pricetag to live with.

AMAZING.
I had:
Bad acne scars,
Frequent breakouts,
Olive skin (half Asian),
Very sensitive and dry skin,
Badly damaged skin from acne treatments,
After one PDT treatment my face was literally almost new.
Most of my acne scars were greatly diminished by 50-60%, and some were completely erased. My skin was soft and supple, absolutely radiant, my acne breakouts disappeared, my blackheads were completely gone, my small indented scars from blackheads were cleared. $450 is worth my self-esteem.

The singlet oxygen theory is flawed. It is HEAT that kills the cancer cells.

where is this link then? lol thanks anyway. peace.

I don't personally know of any cases but here's a link to a site commenting on some NIH research into PDT on brain cancer. Hope this helps. If not - there's always the Gamma Knife (Proton Beam Tomography).
Thank you for posting and commenting :) I'd like to share ideas for all these stuff. I am studying Electric Computing Engineering with speciality in bioengineering so everything that has to do with tomographies (like Gamma Knife) and image processing is helpful for me. lp115lp is right about the Gamma Knife tomography... its the most modern and succesfull way to cure brain tumours. But it is not used in many countries. In my country (greece) i think that there's only one G-Knife tom. in Athens.
