Derek Evans : Music With a Cause : Pledge Music Project

My name is Derek Evans and I have decided to work with Pledge Music as a tool to fulfill my two passions- Music and Charity. I have set a goal to raise $6000 in 60 days to record and press my album. I have been touring independently for 4 yours and have shared the stages with Jason Mraz, Blues Traveler, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Erin McCarley, and many more. Now is the time for me to record the album that I have been waiting for.

However, not all of that money will be going to me. I will be donating portions to Lemons To Aid, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinsons Research. Lemons to Aid provides the tools for families around the world to host lemonade stands and other creative programs, such as read-a-thons, bake sales, etc. to raise money for disaster relief and other basic need causes. The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, in honor of a good friend of mine who has been recently diagnosed with cancer. The Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinsons Research, in memory of my grandfather Marvin Lee Churney. Throughout the entire process I will be doing blog updates, video updates, as well as, providing audio samples from the upcoming album. I will also be offering many incentives with each pledge.
