The Hughes Lightwing is a well-known Australian ultralight, usually powered by a converted Volkswagen car engine. Rotec radial engines are respected modern Australian radials. combine the two and you have an ultralight with real character

  • I dont have a sister dick head!................ but once I got the bag over your Mum's head she sure was nice!

  • Fast like your sister.

  • I have never heard of or seen a light wing with a volkswagon engine.

  • perfect example of "wheeler" landing..Slower results in 3 point "stall on" landing, which is untidy and more difficult.

  • I helped to build this plane! It was built at Kent Street Senior High School in Perth, Western Australia. I contributed the most student hours to the project. It had a VW engine in it then, but was converted to the Rotec radial earlier this year. Great job.

  • Cool engine sounds.

Landing looked a little fast. Try higher nose attitude on finals less speed less energy and danger. Wheelers carry a lot of energy and plane wants to fly even when on the ground!

    Cool plane.
