  • @M0T0RID3R559 The last "Elsinore" is the 1981 water-cooled model. Says Elsinore right on the "CR125 sticker" on both side number plates. .

  • I picked up a 81 250 about 4 months ago. Original owner. All original manuals ect it was MINT. Totally rebuilt motor. Left side kick as it was a 250. TON of compression and power. And had a title. Didnt make a video only pics. All i did to it was set the timing. Paid $300. Sold for $1600 to some guys who shipped it to austrailia.

  • check the water pump lol

  • Warm it up!!

  • dont touch the pipe touch the jug it takes way more time to cool off then the pipe

  • @xyzabc1894 try 40:1 thats what i mix in my 81 cr125 and it runs great if you ever have the motor apart seeing as you can get top end stuff from wiseco port the jug while your at it youll have way more power

  • Just to let you know, the last year of the elsinore is the 1980 Cr125, 1981 and up were water cooled and no longer elsinores( air cooled), anyways cool bike.

  • I have the same bike. Got it for $200 and I need a clutch lever, front brake lever, throttle side foot peg, and rear brake shoes.

Mine starts great too. I wasn't sure how long it had been since it ran when i got it, and I don't know if the guy I bought it from did either. Poured some gas in the tank and I think it took two kicks.

So what do you mix the gas at? I've had some people tell me around 32:1, but these are people who don't own an 81 cr125, so I figured you would know.

  • well you never let it warm up

i would have given it an actual full 5 minutes of soft reving with a bike of that age.

    and put a helmet on.
