I can't believe no one has done this game yet! Illusion of Gaia is such an underrated game, and that's a shame because it's one of the best games, in my opinion, made for the SNES. It's an RPG with Zelda-like gameplay, a sweeping score, and a pretty interesting storyline. So I'm going to get through as much of this game as I can.

The games starts a year after our Hero, Will, lost his father through unknown circumstances. He hangs out with his friends Erik, Seth, and Lance at their secret cave. Erik rushes into tell everyone that the Princess, Kara, has escaped and could be in town, but the boys seem far more interested in Will's Psychic abilities.

For those who wonder why I was going in and out of the cave, I was trying to get that jar with that dang blasted third jewel in it.

Red Jewel Locations in South Cape
1. On the left side of the bell at the school.
2. In Erik's basement
3. The fisherman catches a jar with the jewel in it.

EDIT: I dunno what in the world happened with the first part of the vid...stupid WMM...and while the sound is in sync the first part, it's not for the second. My apologies.

  • Watching this is really painful.

He never runs, he doesn't read any of the text and it's obvious he's using a walkthrough.

  • Or maybe she's played the game so much that there is no need to read text. Feel free to improve if you have so many complaints...

    Everyone's a critic.

  • Here's a thought, why don't you get a life instead of trolling and posting pointless hate messages.

Seriously, if you hate it so much, go play something else. Otherwise, leave my vids alone, unless you think you can do better.

  • I got this game for xmas and it came with a t-shirt -_-. Good game, but wayyyy wayyyy too linear for an rpg. No currency system, and it is far too short. Also, you don't get jack crap for getting all the red jewels and killing that one boss as Will =/.

  • Yeah, that really sucked. I mean, the only think that came out of it were the power-ups. That's the only reason why I even attempted to find them all. And while it is pretty linear, it gets annoying in some areas. I still hate Mt. Tress and Mu with a damn passions. To bloody confusing.

  • wtf noob playing

  • It's not an rpg per say.

It's really a action adventure like game with puzzles involved.

Although it is a great adventure game and i love it.

I agree that it is highly underrated.

It is when enix was good and GODDAMIT ENIX!! how could you fuck up so bad?

  • I remember this game! My cousin had it years ago! man i remember almost every location in the game... ankor wat... etc... wow...

  • I loove this game so much. The storyline is amazing, and its very imaginative, and yet, very true, at the same time. I want to find another snes game that is just as amazing as this one. =)
