  • Most Kung Fu systems use alot of "Flowery" circular movements.....those movements are used to break out of holds or to lock the opponent.

  • @anhkhoinguyen

Qina is not using soft, it is getting at the correct point of a joints

  • @anhkhoinguyen I've been Boxing and doing Muay Thai, mostly Boxing for awhile now now so i know a few things or 2 about striking espcially with grapplers.

I try to fight with wrestler whenever i have the chance to see how good my jab is to keep them out of distance and if they try to shoot in i have my right uppercut ready to counter.

No offense or anything tho i did Judo for awhile too so i know a lil' bit about grappling.

  • @anhkhoinguyen and for bigger guys, swame thing don't stand there and slug it out with him, move around, dogde those wild swings, counter counter COUNTER those wild swings. Aim for soft spots like same things eyes, ears, etc etc and always move around and counter their wild heavy swings and ALWAYS keep your guard up. And always move around never stand toe 2 toe with them. Quick counter jabs and cross and short hooks and uppercuts if they get too close then quickly move out of range again.

  • @anhkhoinguyen true grappling does beat striking sometimes but its still not the greatest. A good striker with good footwork and a lighting fast jab can beat a grappler easy. The grappler shoot in trying to clinch just move around out of clinching range and snap out that jab at the open face of the grappler. Aim for the eyes the bridge of the nose, the throat or the ears. Stay out of range, move around, and snap out the jabs and long cross

  • @morningbee88

Tajiquan isnt the only style that uses soft principles when doing locks, all QINNA techniques are like that......Otherwise its not Qinna stupid lol

  • @Nhia89 If kicking and punching work so well against locks n holds then why dont strikers do so well against jujutsu guys?

Anyways locks and holds are used over strikes "at times not always" bekuz-

    1. For some reason you dont want to hurt that person but restrain, maybe your a security or cop or your homies drunk or simple dont want to go to court for assualt.

2.There bigger then you and punching him will only lead to a punch out with a bigger man.

better to immobilize him with a hold. ect ect

  • Bruce Lee response to someone whos holding your wrist?? Instead of complicated and mulitiple steps, kick him in the shin hard, he'll let go

  • This qing na with tai chi movement !

    Not CLF

  • nigga, please
