Honda GX-160 problem

so i just completed work on me Honda GX-160 and it ran great for a while, but i noticed some sparks come out of the exaust but didint pay much mind, but the engine soon had a prob keeping a steady beat and then shoot fire! i dont really know what is wrong with it and me only idea might be the valves.

Any help will be great!

what was the adjustment you made to the valves.....ive got the same problem

@TheAlamar31 lets see, i set the screws both on the exhaust and the fuel intake completely loose, then i tighten both till the pull start holds a some resistance but at the same time still spins, that's how you know that they are set right, it will take a while but it should work, but make sure it isint too tight where it wont spin or to loose or it wont start. hope this helps and good luck

they werent adjusted right a little tweek and it was as good as new

do u know what jet is in the carb?

@Quader150 no i havent messed with carb in a while but just the other day a huge plume of thick white smoke blew out the exaust. i hope its not a majot prob

Ideal. I've got a similar problem. sounding lumpy and eventually cuts out, then you can't start it until its cooled down. I will have a look at the valve adjustment. Thanks for that!
