@generalbullmoose It was controversial back then because movie historians, movie preservationists and even SAG were concerned that this would start a trend for movies to include cameos from dead movie stars by using this then NEW technology but fortunately it never evolved into anything. It was reported on Entertainment Tonight and VARIETY

I remember when I first watched this add, I thought to myself..What the Fuck..Is that Bogart and Cagney. The visual effects had me fooled. I think they later did another one with Cary Grant appearing..but it never aired.
