A Cebby Story: You & Me Season 1 Ep 18
Scene- Debby's House, after the party
Debby: What did you just said?
Dylan looked up, realising what he had done. He can't believe that he just told their friends indirectly that his brother likes Debby. He looked at Matt who was shrinking further away from him. He panicked.
Dylan: Bracelet?
Debby: No. No. No. The, erm, the love part?
Dylan: T-the... er... n-not...
Dylan was breathing hard. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. He choked on his own saliva.
Debby: Oh my god.
Debby can't believe what she was just told. Cole likes her? She didn't know how to react to this news. She had already decided to just stay friends with him. Dylan kept rubbing his temples. He still can't believe what he had done. Cole is going to kill him.
Dylan: Oh, no. No. No. No. No.
Matt: [sarcastic] That's good. Just keep rubbing your head. That will turn back time.
Debby: This is unbelievable. I mean, this is unbelievable.
Zoey: I know. This is really, really huge.
Dylan: No, it's not. It's small. It's tiny. It's not a big deal.
Rahael: I don't think any of our lives are going to ever be the same again.
Matt: Is there a mute button on you girls?
Brenda: I think this is so great. I mean, you had feelings for Cole too.
Dylan & Matt: What!?!
Debby: Had! That's past tense.
Brenda: Did you have any idea that he likes you?
Debby: I don't know. I mean, there was one time when we were on the phone the whole night. We talked about stuff like what if we were an 'us'. But, nothing ever happened. So, I just... What else did Cole say? Did he, like, want to go out with me?
Matt: [sarcastic] Well, given that he's desperately in love with you, he probably wouldn't mind getting a glass of drink or something.
Debby: All this time? I've got to talk to him.
Dylan: He's at home! Sick! You're not supposed to disturb a sick person!
Dylan was freaking out. He shouldn't have revealed the truth. He didn't want to die young. Debby dialled Cole's number.
Dylan: He's not going to answer his phone!
Debby: Well, I got to try.
Brenda: Debby, what are you going to say to him?
Debby: I-I don't know.
Dylan: Then, maybe you shouldn't talk to him!
Matt: He's right. Because if you're going to just break his heart, that kind of thing can wait.
Rachael: But, if it's good news, you should tell him now.
No one answered the phone. Debby reached Cole's voicemail.
Debby: Erm, hi, Cole. This is Debby. I just want to say that I love the present and I will see you when you're feeling better.
Debby put down her phone. The friends smiled with sympathy. Dylan walked to her and gave her a hug.
Dylan: Hang in there, Debby.
Zoey: Yea, right.
Dylan: I really feel bad for her. I really do. I can think of somebody else other than myself.
Rachael: So, you're going to tell Cole that you like him too?
Debby: I don't know. I don't know. It's Cole. This is Cole that we're talking about. You know what I mean? I mean, it's Cole.
The friends exchanged looks.
Dylan, Brenda, Matt, Rachael & Zoey: Sure?
Debby: I don't know. Maybe it will be okay between us.
Brenda: You two know each other already. You're friends. Of course, it will be okay. In fact, your relationship will be great.
Rachael: Yes, you know each other already. In other words, you're committed.
Debby: Oh.
Rachael: I'm not trying to ruin a possible Cebby here. But, what if it doesn't work out?
Brenda: Why is it not working out?
Debby: I don't know. Sometimes it doesn't.
Brenda: Is he not cute enough for you?
Debby: What?
Dylan: Is it because he spends way too much time with me?
Debby: No! I'm just-
Zoey: Is it because of Clark?
Dylan: Is it!?! It's Clark, isn't it?
Debby: No! Clark is just a one time date.
Matt: Then, why are you meeting him again tomorrow?
Scene- Debby's Living Room, an hour later
The friends just sat in the living room quietly. No one was talking. Dylan was trying to make up a possible excuse in order to escape his death penalty. Debby was thinking if she wants to begin a new relationship with Cole.
Debby: You know, guys, I've been thinking about it and I've decided that this whole Cole thing is not a good idea.
Brenda: No.
Zoey: Why?
Debby: Because I feel like I wouldn't be just going out with him. I would be going out with all of you. Then, there will be all these pressures and-
Dylan: No! No! No! No pressure! No pressure!
Debby: Dylan, nothing has even happen yet and you're already so-
Matt: ...uptight? Cranky? Dying?
Dylan threw a pillow at Matt.
Dylan: [sarcastic] Thanks for the support.
End of Ep 19.
