Im not saying this to start some argument, but I tried playing MW2 on my PC and it was ridiculously hard to find a room, wheras 360 and PS3 connect almost instantly. There are definatley more people playing it on consoles, though the PC version is superior with regards to graphics and gameplay.

Lol don't try so hard that you shit your pants, the actually listing of the servers has nothing to do with the type. Dedicated servers are servers that can be run externally from the game and/or a 3rd party computer/server. They are running 24/7 (if rented from companies) and they provide a stable , modifiable , laggfree and administrable playground.
Without it modding is hard and so is competitive e-sport and pro gaming which is still played in Cod4 modded promod,pammod servers.
