damn thats crazy 648 total in the state! probably like 10 crashes here would close the freeways fast and clear them good before they open them again! sucks but thats how my state works I guess but wow less than an inch and that many crashes!!! nice captures, eek and be more careful in those conditions dont rubberneck lol.

Roads are like that even on a sunny day here. They only put salt once, 4 days after freezing rain right before we go 20cm of snow. Oddly enough we get a lot of freezing rain this year, and almost no snow, we only have about 1m of snow so far.

This is a bit odd to me. It's talking about so much traffic, but the news clips (except the completely stopped freeways from crashes) looks like the commute here in Portland every morning. And Minneapolis is quite a bit bigger. I guess a lot more big freeways there...
Had our first snow last week (got some clips on my dashcam), and the whole city panicked. It's the funniest thing ever...
I guess even cities used to snow are put off by freezing rain. It's the worst road surface possible.
What dashcam do you own? I thought of purchasing one. I missed some events driving on days I didn't mount my HD video cell phone to the dash.

@AdamMT1618 My front camera I bought from The Car Black Box . Com for just under 300 dollars. It does not record sound and its not HD, but I still like this camera. I also bought a rear cheap camera from Ebay for 60. Front camera holds onto the windshield with 3M sticky tape and does not move.

I take it 'rubbernecking' is the foreign word for swan-necking, ie distracted from the road by things like car crashes?

@Debbiebabe69 You are correct. I have to say, Swan-necking is the foreign word from the people in the USA. Lol.

@hanskiesG3R Thank you, and Oh I will try to keep the current with the videos, Lol. The only one that actaully applys to my own car video is the Jack Knifed semi. I gave a point of view from the traffic cameras and point of view from my car. Lol.
