The show features songs from his solo career and several classic Dire Straits hits including 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Money for Nothing' and 'Sultans of Swing'.

I don't think many of you get what he just showed you. The idea wasn't how he plays each riff, but how he interacts with the band. The solo section is always different, as it should be, then he eventually comes back to the familiar hook so they're all on the same page. Have any of you ever heard Eric Johnson play the Cliffs of Dover intro and solo the same way twice?

@rallyeluke Imagine if The Eagles suddenly changed the solos to Hotel California after all these years (I don't mean as in the brilliant nylon string version of Hell Freezes Over). It just wouldn't be the same, regardless of how tired the artists are of the song. The Audience isn't tired of it, they're the ones paying to hear it. But of course, artists do move on and that's a positive thing too. =:O) No harm intended in my comments.

Yep, there's one of my great all time heros fucken devastated and destroyed... but then I remember, I've had some shit house days myself, hit rock bottom and just couldn't give a fuck. You get up. You get on. You write a new song. He's not past his prime yet. Just having a bad day / week / year / whatever. Been there. Think of your worst moment. Now is it as bad as this?
