  • Any pedals used?

  • @JimisGuy .. tis a long time ago, that video, I think a toob screamer ish homebrew and a fuzz on the solo...but my brain is aged, I use loads of different stuff all the time, sometimes just the amp and no pedals, sometimes pedals ... but definitely pedals on this particular video...this amp is a fairly clean amp, with a bit of crunch and 4 x el34's worth of volume...so quite loud....all the best

  • Wow I can in here looking for a video demo of the YGL-3 and came across this video! What fantasic tone and guitar playing!!!! Now I would love to have that amp (I'm a collector of tube amps, usually low wattage.)

  • Cool man, thank you...good luck hunting a Traynor, good amps, great value, usually.....

  • Anything else done to the Traynor? Have one myself, thinking about Fanes now...what model Fanes? Nice and clear, that sound.

  • @lukousmembrane Cheers, the Fanes were seventies ones with the metal dome in the centre, I thought they were 75 watts, I got 4 of them, I have none left....the clip used a pedal, I think maybe a tube screamer or something in conjunction with the overdrive already on tap with the amp...the circuit was stock.....

Sold it and MISS that amp a little

  • I was looking for a video to learn to play this song and came here.

The best part on this video is the player grip, the way of every note is touched, pushed, played.

  • Very nicely done indeed. I'm sure Dave would smile and nod. I used one of these all through the 70's with a 6x10 bottom and it just howled! Just found a YGL3 and retired my Fender amps. When they dubbed these amps "a Fender Twin on steroids" they weren't just whistling Dixie. But of course we vets knew that Pete Traynor was a genius.

  • nice. i have the ygl3 mark3. these thing cut through like no tomorrow

  • nice!

  • For your listening pleasure.

  • Pretty damn cool man

  • Wow, this is awesome, that guitar tone is tasty and your playing is all and all... AWESOME, and you just NAILED that solo!

  • Wow! Just..... wow!
