WLIR radio broadcast with Bonnie Raitt, Lowell George, John Hammond and Freebo performing "Big Road" by Tommy Johnson and "You Got To Know How", by Sippie Wallace. These songs were performed after "Can't Find My Way Home" which is amazing, and available elsewhere on YouTube.

  • Wow! What a treat! Early Bonnie Raitt just moves me, what a player, such a songbird.

  • @bam0027 I downloaded the audio many years ago off of the original napster. The audio quality sucks, but you just don't care. Thanks for listening.

  • Nice.I like latter day musicians(if '72 can still be called "latter day"!)who value& pay respect to musical predecessors, e.g. old blues singers like Tommy Johnson(a name new to me).Mazzy Star helped rekindle my appreciation for Delta blues&slide guitar with their covers of old Memphis Minnie songs&their own Delta blues style songs. Now I'm discovering&rediscovering old blues recordings from the '20s onwards.Much of that "old" music I find timeless&more moving than most present day bands' music!

  • @Bobjb999 I understand and totally relate and agree. I think the amazing thing about this audio recording is that, technically, it is very poor. But that becomes irrelevant in comparison to the artistic brilliance that is so overwhelming.

  • It's worth wading through the presong patter, the playing is BRILLANT! This is a classic radio recording.

Bonnie and Sippy were very close. This is wonderful tribute to Sippy.
