Geoff Bodine Daytona Truck Crash Home Video

This is a home video that I have had for a while but have never posted. The full credit of the video goes to the guy behind us shooting this amazing shot! He was generous enough to send us a copy.

I'm the guy in the white hat saying "Oh my God!" You can hear my brother in the blue hat saying "He's dead! Good grief! He's gotta be dead!" This was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen (as you can see from my face!)

Bodine did live to race another day!

A lot of people write "wow I saw this when it happened" on these comments. I didn't see this live, but I heard it on the radio live. We were driving down to see the Daytona 500 that weekend and had this race on the radio in the car and heard it when we were somewhere in Georgia. Didn't actually see it till we got to the motel and saw the highlights. It looked much worse than it sounded.

I remember watching this live with my dad and saying... "we just watched Geoff Bodine die, didn't we ?" he just said... well, yeah... unless God was paying attention to this one, he's gone. Apparantly, God was watching.
