Did you know that Marijuana, properly known as Hemp, could as a raw material, save the US economy? This has nothing to do with smoking weed, but using it for building material, clothing, soap, paint, fuel, paper, plastic, dynamite, etc. In fact, Marijuana is the world's #1 sustainable, renewable resource for the overall majority of the world's industry needs.

Hemp used for fuel could be grown on 6 to 10% of arable land in the US and supply all of our country's energy needs. But you won't hear George Bush and his cronies discussing the truth about 9/11 while waging war in the Middle East over oil, while at the same time waging war on US citizens in the War on Drugs. We could end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan today, because they were never about terrorism. We wouldn't need future wars in Iran if we could use Hemp at home today.

We had a "HEMP CLUB" at the college I went to in California.We did'nt smoke but we did learn the facts about hemp. How hemp seed has six of the eight amino acids you need for your body. And the same hemp oil you use for your car is healthy to drink.Its the stongest fiber in the world etc. What makes it Illegal is the damn oil companies that run everything. WE NEED TO LEGALIZE HEMP! @GnosticMedia Ron Paul has stated that while he is personally against some types of abortion he believes that the legality of the issue should be up to the states. He's wearing an incredibly convincing sheep costume. Ron Paul is by far our best chance at obtaining some of the freedoms that have been stolen from us by the other wolves.

Fantastic summary. Thank you Jan Irvin. I visited Jack Herer's grave a few weeks ago to pay my respects to this pioneer. I regret I never had a chance to meet him because like so many of us, I was ignorant of industrial hemp until I read his book last spring after I read about his death. Long live the legacy of Jack Herer!
