  • a lasso is not a weapon.

  • @dvid22 Depends on the situation

  • You know, I don't think that when something is unique and original doesn't always mean it's good.

  • @tonby I understand I just sort of feel considering how recent those stories were, I have a feeling of "been there and done that" as opposed to "hey we haven't seen this awhile"

  • Why I agree with you in regards to making Zeus Diana's father - I must say I'm enjoying Brian Azzarello's run and the sales numbers are a sign I'm not the only one.

  • @killbilly69 I completely understand that but part of me feels that this title was noticed because of the reboot more so when previous writers jumped on board.

  • Even if I'm not big Wonder Woman reader yet. I agree with you on if they going to make her a child of a god, make her the child of Hades. It would interesting irony if she is promotes peace yet her father was Hades. What i would of done is have Diana have a close relationship with her dad. She even lived with him in the under world for a short while cause they where hiding her from Hera. Even if her and Hades become enemies later they still remain close. What do you think?

  • Are you considering Brian Azzarello's run on Wonder Woman one the best in a while?

  • I give up everytime i try to jump onto wonder woman it always goes badly but i am not suprised that Brian Azerrello has crewed up so badly. I mean hmmm mystic origin with many interesting idea;s and what can be read into it or bastard child of zeus which is such a cop out for our big female hero. Hmm whi9ch invovles less work, oh ya Bastard child it is.

  • And one last thing, while Hippolyta's lie may not make sense, stop for a moment and just take this idea in...what if (hypothetically) Zues had the ability to basically pull the cord out on that medallion viewer? Maybe that's why Hera wasn't aware of Zues and Hippolyta's one-night stand.

Sure, they don't hint at that, but that could be a somewhat buyable theory. But i could be wrong.

  • Also, I think I know another reason why Azzarello's run is getting more fans...its because, storywise, this is one of the most maturely-handled/written titles of the New 52.

And while I do agree with you on the changes of Diana's birth (and the treatment of the other Amazons), nothing else so far bothers me, and like you, I haven't been this into WW for some time.

  • Considering that Zues basically knocked up every woman in Ancient Greece, did you ever stop to think that maybe Zues is more of a (and my sincere apologies) prostitute god than he is the god of the heavens?
