Vollis Simpson's Whirligigs, before they are moved from "Acid Park"

Vollis Simpson's collections of whimsical windmills has stood in a field on his property for many years. This field is commonly referred to as "Acid Park". Some of you may have even heard of the "Legend of Acid Park" which is not true by the way.

Mr. Simpson has agreed to let the whirligigs be dismantled and moved to a new park in the City of Wilson in the near future. While I am sure this will help preserve them, it will never be quite the same as seeing them in the original location.

Mr. Simpson is a kind man who always takes time out from his work to spend time talking anytime I have dropped by, and really makes the kids feel welcome. He also has pieces for sale, just in case you would like your own whirligig!
