Despite the fact that Vlado Kreslin is currently the most popular singer and song writer in Slovenia, "Joužek" is actually the first real music video he has made so far. The dicision which song from his last album (One morning when the day breaks) has enought potential for visualisation was not difficult. "Joužek" is a tribute to a great, more than 90 year old man from Prekmurje, interesting lowlands in the far east of Slovenia.
Music has been an important part of Joužek Kociper's long life. For decades he played as a member of Kociper's Band at weddings, funerals and local feasts. Joužek and his double bass are inseparable; at home in a tiny village an odl bycicle and little dog complete the idyll of his life.
Joužek Kociper has become a legend among musicians. There is no doubt that he is the oldest musician in Slovenia who still preforms. Everybody in Slovenia knows him as Joužek, a member of the Beltinška banda, which has been performing with Vlado Kreslin.
His fingers are gnarled and his face is full of wrinkles, but his eyes still shine and his voice always sounds happy. Everything about him breathes happiness because Joužek loves life and the company of people. in the nine decades of his life he has learned that life is beautiful if you take it from the right side.
