  • Wow, I am glad I found these video, I think the key was, I was not sure what to put in the search. Anyhow, thank you and what is the general weight of the swords that you use? I can see how strength training and stretching is very important.

  • depends on individual fighter preference, but most of my sticks are about 2.5-2.75 lbs. If you are not already familiar with SCA heavy fighting... we use rattan wrapped in a protective tape of some sort - usually strapping tape or other durable fiber tape.

  • I am new to the fighting aspect of the SCA and I was extatic to see you guys taking the time to break down the different aspects of shot techniques. i have been in armor all of 2 times and I actually just 2 days ago fought in my first practice. I am sore in areas I never new I had. Thank you for what you have done here and I look forward to seeing more instructionals from you soon.

  • actually thank a lot, i only knew snap and cut and so the thing they uses to get me is a torque interesting..... didn't knew this was called sca swordfighting either, thanks a lot guys

  • You miss a side when you do that 8 spinning movement; you can pull the sword underneath both armpits.
