If you can't hear me clearly I've written a summary here:

This is a hypothetical solution to the conflict between Pro-Life and Pro-Choice.

Pro-Life is a spiritual/religious/ethics/morals based perspective that all human life no matter what it's stage of development physical or psychological has the right to live and thus every pregnancy to result in keeping the fetus to term.

Pro-Choice is a humanist/liberal/feminist approach believing that a woman should have a choice about what happens to their bodies, that they shouldn't carry the pregnancy to term or have it at all if they don't want it.

These two views are often in so much conflict that there has been resulting social rejection/stigmatism and even violence leading to murder, whether it be to the fetus itself or a abortion-performing doctor.

The problem is that when women who have been raped, or have had unprotected sex, the time at which they find themselves pregnant can be up to 6 weeks after the incident, and by that stage the developing embryo has attached itself to the uterus wall, creating a placenta and umbilical cord linked to a fully developing fetus.

However there is a time before this where the fertilised egg is not attached to the wall, and it is this time period I think would be crucial.

Now I understand that my views, coming from a male may be seen as naive, particularly in the case of the emotional, physical and psychological suffering of a woman being raped.

Why mention rape?

Because it's among one of many reasons why a woman would not want to have a child, others being simply not having a child finding it an inconvenience, to problems regarding fears of abnormality or genetic defects of the developing fetus.

What I propose is that the two groups pool their resources together to create a clinic that will allow for both Pro-Life and Pro-Choice.

Take this situation: a woman has just realised she's had unprotected sex, and in this case is caught between having the child or not.

She enters a clinic, where an obstetrician and/or gynaecologist use an extremely sensitive sonogram, or ultrasound-based scan to detect a fertilised egg, thus having no full harm upon the fertilised egg.

Once discovered, the gynaecologist and obstetrician will then extract the zygote and freeze it in liquid nitrogen immediately, as is done with many zygotes, eggs and sperm in IVF and Fertility Clinics.

It has been scientifically proven that a frozen egg, sperm or zygote can be revived upon thawing.

It is at this case that the money founding the specialised clinic would also be used in short-term to long-term storage.

The woman would be counselled, whether it be by priest or psychologist, to allow the woman time to make a decision as to whether she wants to carry the child to term.

If she chooses to carry the child to term the embryo/zygote can be re-implanted.

If she doesn't choose to carry the child, she could potentially donate the zygote to a childless couple, to be brought to term by another mother, or a surrogate if she is unable to bear the child to term or is infertile or has other difficulties.

The child may be able to be even sold or bought by the childless couple, thus allowing for compensation to the original mother.

Or if say the embryo was created due to rape, the woman would then be supported to have legal prosecution of the rapist and thus a monetary compensation for the unwanted pregnancy.

It is in this hypothetical idea, that both Pro-Life and Pro-Choice will be both enacted, thus allowing both sides not only peace of mind, but a better chance of life for both mother and in this case unwanted baby.

I'd like to hear your opinions regarding this idea.

PS: Please forgive the length of my description of this post, but I thought it best to be clear to those who cannot understand me due to my mumblings or stammerings.

Peace out,
