  • Great comments. I'm not an expert on Hip Hop but I think Snoop Dogg is enjoying the freedom that comes with being a pivotal artist and having sustained that over time.

    In rock you see it happen all the time. Guys get famous - then they start taking big chances with their music.  Also, the deeper you go into most forms of music you get to a point where they overlap. I.E. you're listening to blues and someone turns you on to Sam Cooke or Otis Redding.

    Even rockers listen to Snoop.
